All-time Movie Favorites

This Christmas let me share with you the top 3 favorite movies of my brothers and I. By favorite, I mean we never get tired of watching it, and we know the lines by heart.

**this is not arranged in any order, since we all love it equally. **

1) The Little Rascals

I love Porky and Buckwheat. They are so adorable! All the kids here are. The movie tackles "puppy-love" and friendship at a young age. As a saying goes "bros before hoes." ;)

the cast :)

Favorite lines/ dialogues from the movie:

Buckwheat: Quick! What's the number for 911?
Porky: How do I know?

Bank Teller: What is your account number?
Spanky: Uh..seh-vuhn?
Bank Teller: Seven??seven?
Froggy: try eight!
Spanky: Eight!

2) The Elf

Will Ferrell is just soooooooo hilarious!! This movie is about finding ones true identity, and the importance of father-son relationship .

Favorite lines/ dialogues from the movie:

Manager:  no singing in the north pole!
Buddy: Yes there is! Especially when we make toys!

Buddy: I love smiling. Smiling is my favorite.

Buddy: What's a Christmas gram. I want one!

3) Daddy Day Care

Each character here is so funny! And most of the kids here are younger than the ones in Little Rascals. Spot Elle Fanning! :) This movie tackles how early learning should be -- more fun less pressure. It is about building special relationships called friends, and it proves that "men do what women" do and vice versa. :)

Favorite lines/ dialogues from the movie:
Charlie: I lost my J-O-B.
Kim: You lost your J-O-B?
Cahrlie: I got F-I-R-E-D

Charlie: Have you seen my beeper? (checks the fridge)
Charlie: Oh it's here, right by the grapejuice.

Jaimie: Dolphins are fish.
Becca: Doesn't mean they live in water, they're fish!
Charlie: What else do you want to talk about?
Jaimie: Where do babies come from?

If you haven't watched this movies, please do! It is so much fun to watch especially with the kids! :)
Christmas is a time for kids and for grown-ups who are kids at heart! ;)

Typhoon Pablo/Bopha

Typhoon Bopha/Pablo has hit the Islands of Mindanao first week of December but up to now, hundreds are still missing and hundreds were already found dead.

I was able to watch a TV interview of the survivors. One saw how his father died. It was very traumatic. He narrates that he wasn't able to help him cause he was also stuck in the mud while a tree fell on his fathers back. It was very tragic. :( Whats worse is some government officials were even taking advantage of it  (I am sure not all of them are, there are still good ones I believe) .

Here are some of the pictures of what the typhoon left behind:

All photos are not by me.
300+ found dead and as of today they are still searching for more missing bodies

We can survive this.
We always do. We have to do our part.
We can donate, however small it may be.
Share the information.
And wherever you are, please take a minute to pray.

Pray that the affected families find comfort in Him.
Pray that politicians use their power for the faster recovery
of these families and of the island.
Pray that every Filipino help in whatever means they can.

I have faith in humanity.
I have faith in Filipinos.
